After the dust settles from the 2018 World Cup, Borussia Dortmund will reunite and embark on an American tour during the 2018/19 preseason. Headlining the tour will be a Der Klassiker match at Chicago’s Soldier Field against Bayern Munich.
German Clásico coming to Chicago next summer -- Dortmund v Munich. More good stuff, too. Stay tuned.

If the report is true, it would likely mean Dortmund and Bayern will both be participating in the North American circuit of the 2018 International Champions Cup. With both teams poised to contend for the Bundesliga title, DFB-SuperCup, and possibly the DFB-Pokal again this season, the match is looking to be an incredible fixture.
Dortmund has featured in the ICC before, participating in the champion-less China circuit for the past two seasons. The competition will be Dortmund’s first in North America.
Bayern took part in the China and Singapore competitions this season, finishing second place behind Internazionale Milan in the latter. It will be Bayern’s first time in the U.S. since the 2016 preseason.
The remainder of the ICC field has yet to be announced but if it’s anything like it was this summer, we can expect some star-studded clubs to be joining the German giants next summer.
