Move over, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, there’s a new striker in town. And it just so happens to be Marc Bartra.
The center-back wasted no time opening his scoring account for the season curling in a brilliant goal from an impossible angle to double Dortmund’s advantage, 2-0, over VfL Wolfsburg in the first half.
Check out the wonder strike!
Perhaps an even more pleasant surprise about the goal was the creativity of Mario Gotze and Gonzalo Castro, both of whom helped set up the Bartra goal. The play went under review from the VAR but was confirmed. It also appeared VAR was not working properly, according to some reports.
Right then. Bartra appeared to be offside. The ref went to VAR but, according to Sky, the camera which judges offside isn't working. #wobbvb

Bartra dedicated the goal to the victims of the Barcelona terror attack this past week with a simple celebratory gesture after the goal.
Current goal scoring tally for Dortmund: Bartra 1 : Aubameyang 0. Will the Gabonese international ever catch up? Probably, to be honest. Let’s hope it’s today. But until it happens, Bartra remains the goal-scoring wizard for this Dortmund side. Three points are on the way!
Friendly reminder that Marc Bartra leads Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the race for the golden boot now.
