Peter Bosz has informed the media that Ousmane Dembélé missed training today without a valid excuse. The coach tried to contact the young winger to get further explanations but couldn’t reach him.

Dembélé is in the midst of a transfer saga that is getting increasingly ugly. Barcelona want him as their Neymar-replacement but Borussia Dortmund are refusing to lower their asking price for the young Frenchman that is currently rumored to be at 150€ million.

Players holding out and refusing to play is a method that several players have used in the past to force a move and it now seems that the 20-year-old Dembélé is actually forcing a move away from the black and yellows in a quite frankly very immature way. Nevertheless this is the first time that a player has tried to do this with Borussia Dortmund and we will have to see how Hans-Joachim Watzke and Michael Zorc react.

BVB are now in a very delicate situation, having a player on their hand that will probably refuse to return to the team and who is on his best way to be scorned by Dortmund fans. And yet they will have to try to get the most money out of Barcelona to finance Dembélé’s replacement.

We will keep you posted on any further developments in this story.
