The defender looks to be leaving BVB

It looks like Dortmund is ready to offload its first “first team” player of the season. Kicker reports Matthias Ginter is set to leave our Borussia for another. Gladbach are rumored to have made an offer of around 15 million Euros for the defender.

While Ginter gets a lot of minutes for BVB, many fans are not going to be sad to let him go as he is generally considered the weakest link out of all our regular starters. 15 million Euros is a great price for a player that has been replaced by incoming transfers already. Zagdou and Toprak hopefully should be able to fit in better then Ginter was able too.

While we may unload our frustrations on Ginter he still is a player of decent quality and will probably improve vastly at Gladbach. He is also our only player that regularly plays for the German National Team.

If this really is the end, good luck Ginter!
