  • Bundesliga coaching news

Well it is a buys summer for Bundesliga teams concerning their coaches. Borussia Dortmund have finally found their new coach for next season with Peter Bosz. Other teams on the other hand have to look for a new coach.

One of those teams is seemingly our rivals from the Ruhrpott Schalke 04. Ahhh Schalke they never cease to disappoint. With the entire Tuchel-saga it seemed that Dortmund would have a summer of turmoil but we have a new promising coach, have signed some very talented players and seem to be set for next season, bar the Aubameyang-situation. And Schalke? Well apparently they have sacked Markus Weinzierl!

According to several reports in Germany Weinzierl is no longer the coach of the royal blues and it will be made official today. Weinzierl arrived last summer from Augsburg and was the first choice of new manager Christian Heidel. However Schalke played an awful season, finishing in 10th place and missing out on international football for next season. Huntelaar and Kolasinac already left and both Max Meyer and Leon Goretzka, arguably Schalke's two best remaining players, have already announced that they won't extend their contracts (both end in 2018). This means that if Schalke want to collect a transfer fee for them they would have to sell this summer or let them leave for free next year. It looks like another chaotic summer for our neighbors.

In other coaching news, Julian Nagelsmann has extended his contract with TSG Hoffenheim until 2021. Nagelsmann is one of the most coveted coaches in the Bundesliga being pegged as the possible future coach of either Dortmund or Bayern. According to reports BVB already approached him this summer when they were looking for a Tuchel-replacement but Nagelsmann refused to leave Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim finished in 4th place this season, a success they will try to replicate next year.

  • Pulisic leads USA to victory

Christian Pulisic had an extremely successful year with Borussia Dortmund and now he's on his way to help the USMNT qualify for next years World Cup in Russia. In a crucial game for the US Pulisic scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago to guarantee three vital points.
