  • Shinji Kagawa injured and negotiating about an extension

Shinji Kagawa has injured his shoulder during Japan's friendly against Syria yesterday. He had to be subbed off but it is apparently nothing too serious. According to reports he suffered a dislocated shoulder which means he will probably recover pretty quickly.

Kagawa had a rough start last year but played an incredibly strong second half of the season. He'll have to battle Mario Götze and possibly Gonzalo Castro and newcomer Maximilian Philipp for a place in the starting line-up next season but BVB still wants him around. Kagawa's contract ends in 2018 but Zorc already had negotiations with Shinji's representatives to extend said contract. It looks like Shinji will be around for a few more years.

  • BVB schedule

Let's take a look at the BVB schedule for this summer:

The first training session with the new coach will be July 7th. Since there is no huge tournament this offseason (sorry ConFed Cup) expect most of our players to be there. Ginter and Guerreiro are the only players participating in the ConFed Cup but Ginter might not be a BVB-player by then. Maxi Philipp and Mo Dahoud will get some time off because of the U21 European championship and also join the team later.

From July 13-19 Dortmund will travel to Asia and play a couple friendlies. First against the Urawa Red Diamonds in Tokio, Japan and the second one against AC Milan in Guangzhou, China. The second training camp will be held in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland from July 26th to August 2nd.

The official start to the next season will be the DFL Supercup on August 5th against Bayern München in Dortmund. Expect a few friendlies to be added to this list.

  • U17 close to reaching the final

As we all know Dortmund's youth teams are doing pretty good in recent years. Now they have a chance to add another title to their collection. BVB's U17 team played in the semi-final for the German championship yesterday against Werder Bremen and drew them 1-1 in Bremen. They play the second leg of this tie on Sunday in Dortmund.

Daily Buzz: So let's take a look at the transfer window so far:

- Ömer Toprak (~12€ million)

- Mahmoud Dahoud (~12€ million)

- Dan-Axel Zagadou (free transfer)

- Maximilian Philipp (~20€ million)

Out of those transfers so far who's the best or rather who do you consider to be the best "value"?
