Yes, you read that right. Could it happen?

Most Dortmund fans get angry when they hear the name “Mino Raiola”. Raiola is a super-agent who represents many of the best players in Europe. He represents Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and reportedly threw a chair during transfer negotiations with BVB last summer.

Now Raiola is connected to Dortmund once again, as he has brought up the possibility of Nice striker Mario Balotelli signing for the club. According to Goal.com, Raiola surprisingly appeared at Dortmund’s unveiling of Peter Bosz as their new manager.

As journalists gathered around Dortmund awaiting the arrival of new coach Peter Bosz from Ajax, they were surprised to see Raiola turn up.

The agent recently stated the Bundesliga club and Marseille were interested in former Manchester City striker Balotelli, and told the media a deal was certain.

"Yes," Raiola said when asked if he was at at the club to discuss the 26-year-old Italian. "Balotelli will play for Dortmund."

A lot of people are labeling this news as a bluff on Raiola’s part, and we hope they’re right.

Balotelli had a bit of a turnaround season at Nice, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, but he’s still not a good fit for Dortmund. It’s unclear if he has the attitude or the stamina to embrace BVB’s high pressure system.

And no one wants Mino Raiola around the club, or around some of our younger promising players. But again, this is probably just him bluffing or joking around.

Balotelli is only 26 and still very talented. He doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets from fans and media. But I’m not sure he would enjoy his time at Dortmund either. It’s best for both parties if he avoids a move to BVB.
