  • Maximilian Philipp a transfer target in Dortmund?

As we all know Marco Reus is injured yet again and it is possible that he could miss a significant amount of time. Just in case Reus will be sidelined longer than expected Zorc & Co. are already making plans to soften the blow. That's why kicker report that Dortmund are showing interest in Maximilian Philipp.

Phillipp is a 23-year-old player from SC Freiburg that can play as a winger or striker which would be a perfect fit for Dortmund that might need help at both positions. Last season he scored 9 goals and had 5 assists in 27 games for Freiburg. In addition to his versatility he's an agile player with a good technique and ball control however he could improve his passing accuracy but he's still young so with the right coaching that shouldn't be a problem.

Several clubs are reportedly interested in the talented young German with Bayern, RB Leipzig and Tottenham just being a few of them. If Dortmund can get him it would bolster our offense even further but at a reported 20€ million (a release clause in his contract) he wouldn't come cheap.

  • Schmelzer talks about the entire season

Here's an interview with Marcel Schmelzer done with Ruhr Nachrichten about the entire season, the bus attack, Tuchel, Watzke and everything else.

There are a few very interesting quotes from that interview, most notably of course about Tuchel and Watzke. Schmelzer didn't wan to say anything about Tuchel because he "...isn't our coach anymore. There is no need to add fuel to the fire.".

Talking about Zorc and Watzke on the other hand he stated "I can speak for the entire team when I says we have absolute trust" in them and that the "mutual trust has even gotten stronger".
