- Lucien Favre already lined up?
This was to be expected, now that Thomas Tuchel is probably not in Dortmund's plans for the future rumors will spread on his possible replacements. The first one isn't very surprising to be honest:
According to BILD and RMC Lucien Favre has already been contacted by Borussia Dortmund and the 59-year-old coach is apparently "thinking about it". Favre is currently coaching French club OGC Nice with great success, the team is in third place which would qualify them for the Champions League playoffs. The Swiss coach has some experience with the Bundesliga having been employed at Hertha BSC Berlin and Borussia Mönchengladbach before.
Favre would actually be a very good choice if Tuchel leaves, he enjoyed great success at nearly every single one of his clubs, has a lot of experience and he speaks German which is always a plus. The only problem would be that he still has a contract until 2019 in Nice, Dortmund would have to pay a fee to get him out of that contract.
- BVB U19 win in Wolfsburg
Borussia Dortmund's U19 team is on their way to the final for the German championship. In the semifinal they won 3-2 in Wolfsburg, a feat that no other team managed to complete this season as the "young wolves" were undefeated at home in the Bundesliga North all season (26 games/23W/3D/0L).
Dortmund actually came back twice in the game, Wolfburg opened the score (Mason) but an own goal gave BVB the tie before Wolfsburg got the lead back (Tachie) just before halftime. After the break Dzenis Burnic, who has played for Dortmunds senior team before, scored a brace to secure the win and an excellent result for the second leg that will be played on Monday in Dortmund.
