  • Der Klassiker U19 edition

Schalke's U19 team is doing their absolute best to imitate their senior team and they lost in the most Schalke way possible. After their U19 won 3-1 in Munich everybody thought we would see the Revierderby in the final for the championship but Bayern Munich was able to rune things around in the second leg. The Bavarians won 4-2 in regular time (there is no away goal-rule like we're used from CL/EL games) and then they won the penalty shootout which means we'll get another Der Klassiker next Monday for the championship.

  • More Favre/Tuchel-drama

BILD reported yesterday that Lucien Favre and BVB had come to an agreement and the Swiss coach had asked for the release out of his current contract with OGC Nice. However those reports were quickly shut down by Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère when he stated there had been no contact to Dortmund so far.

Furthermore the Rheinische Post claim that once Tuchel is sacked at Dortmund he would be a candidate for Bayer Leverkusen who will also need a new coach when Tayfun Korkut leaves at the end of the season.

We will probably get those kinds of rumors until everything is cleared up in two weeks but one thing seems increasingly likely, Thomas Tuchel won't be coaching Borussia Dortmund next season.

  • New sponsor for Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have announced a new sponsoring deal with betting provider bwin. The deal will supposedly net Dortmund 3€ million per year.
