With all this Tuchel vs Watzke drama flying around, Borussia Dortmund are due for some good news. Today, this good news comes in the form of Marc Bartra. In an interview with Bild, Bartra revealed that he has set the sights for his return on the DFB-Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bartra has been out ever since he fractured his radius on April 11th during the infamous bus bombing attack. The club was incredibly lucky that no one was killed, but the loss of Marc Bartra still hurt. He could easily have been a difference maker during the Champions League tie against Monaco, when individual mistakes by BVB’s defenders cost the club dearly.

While he was injured, the fan base has rallied around him by placing his jersey on a local statue. He’s been very active on social media, being sure to show thanks for the support that he has received from the fans.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Bartra had rejoined the team in training. Hopefully, he continues to improve so that he can help bring the DFB Cup to Dortmund. During his interview with Bild, he emphasized that he had won many trophies while playing for Barcelona, and that he would love nothing more than to win a trophy in his first year in Borussia Dortmund.
