Finally there is some good news around this team!
Marc Bartra has returned to first team training for the first time since his injury in the Dortmund bus attack! Time has flown by, but the 11th will be a month on since the attacks happened. Bartra suffered arm injuries in the bombing, and has been in a cast ever since.

It’s been a tough month for Bartra, experiencing something so traumatic, and then having to watch his team from the sidelines in some big games. But he certainly seems happy to be back on the training pitch.
He’s still wearing some sort of brace/cast on his arm, but it looks like something he might even be able to play a game with.
Dortmund have three matches left this season; two in the Bundesliga, and the DFB Pokal Cup Final against Eintracht Frankfurt on May 27th.
The defense notably took a step back with Bartra out of the lineup, especially in the Champions League. Bartra has been one of our best signings this season. Hopefully he gets back to fitness quickly enough, and also gets another chance to play this season.
The outpouring of support he’s received from Dortmund fans has been amazing. I can only imagine how loud the reception for him will be if he takes the pitch again this season in the yellow and black.
