The summer transfer window is set to open in only a couple short months, but rumors are already swirling about some of Europe’s top players.
With one French forward, Kylian Mbappe, garnering heavy interest from numerous clubs around Europe, another in Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is also set for a move this summer. Bild reports his likely destination could be Borussia Dortmund.
However, acquiring Lacazette would come at the expense of losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Although the Gabonese striker remains signed until 2020, it remains possible for him to exit Dortmund this summer. If he leaves, BVB will look to add Lacazette as a successor to Aubameyang.
Lacazette possesses similar scoring prowess to Aubameyang, scoring 24 goals in 27 Ligue 1 matches for OL. The addition of Lacazette would form a French partnership up front with Ousmane Dembele on the wing. Speed would also continue to be a factor in attack with an added element of strength and physicality in the box.
