- Youth players impress
Several BVB players played for their national teams yesterday and most of them had pretty good performances.
Etienne Amenyido (19) and Felix Passlack (18), who was the captain, played for Germany's U19 team against Cyprus in an European Championship qualifier. Amenyido who is currently playing for Dortmund's U19 youth team scored twice to secure the three points for Germany in the 2:1 win.
Robin Kehr (17) is another one of Dortmund's academy players that scored in Germany's 10:1 win against Armenia in an U17 European Championship qualifier.
Two of our players faced of against each other when Orel Mangala (19) won 2:1 with Belgiums U19 against Alexander Isak (17) with Sweden. Isak got the assist on Swedens lone goal. After the game Mangala wanted to send a little greeting to his friend.

Mikel Merino scored for Spain's U21 in their 3:1 win over Denmark in a friendly. Hopefully this will boost his confidence because Tuchel might need to play him a bit more in the coming weeks, Dortmund will have a tight schedule and Julian Weigl will need a rest at some point.
- Dahoud Update
According to Borussia Mönchengladbachs Vice-President Rainer Bonhof Mahmoud Dahoud still has an offer from the club to extend his contract. Sport1 (German TV-channel) reports that while this offer is still on the table, Dortmund is "very close" to Dahoud. Asked by a fan if he'll end up in Dortmund, one of their reporters, Ralf Bosse, said "In my opinion, yes".
As always take this with a huge grain of salt! It is the international break and we've seen a plethora of rumors emerge and disappear during those times. At this point a Dahoud-transfer seems likely but since nothing is official we will still have to wait.
