Just a couple months ago the entire BVB-fanbase rejoiced when Julian Weigl extended his contract, now two more Dortmund players have signed new contracts that will keep them in black and yellow for several more years.
First of all there is Gonzalo Castro who has extended his contract until 2020. The 29-year-old is a valuable squad member who has played 31 across all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals and assisting on 7 goals. It's very likely that Dortmund will look to sign another box-to-box midfielder in the summer but that doesn't mean that Castro won't have a spot on the team, especially if Dortmund wants to stay competitive in three different competitions.

Moreover there is Jacub Bruun Larsen who is currently injured but he still got rewarded with a pro-contract. The 18-year-old youth player will miss significant time with a broken foot but Dortmund still chose to sign him to a contract that will keep him in Dortmund until 2020. The young winger from Denmark is the next Dortmund youth-product that will get his chance in the first team following Christian Pulisic and Felix Passlack on their way to established Bundesliga players.
Before his injury he played 26 games for BVB's U17 team across all competitions scoring 21(!) goals and amassing 16 assists, those are incredible numbers. It will be difficult for him to get minutes in an already crowded midfield for Dortmund but he's certainly talented.
