- It’s game day!
BVB and Lotte play in a neutral site today for the right to play Bayern in the next round of the DFB cup. The reason we are playing in a neutral stadium is Lotte’s field is currently unplayable due to rough winter weather turning the pitch into a mud field. Let’s hope we get to see some bench guys get a chance to play, especially the oft left out Mikel Merino and Felix Passlack.
- Tuchel talks Alexander Isak.
During his press conference for the Pokal match Tuchel talked a little about winter signing Alexander Isak. Isak has yet to be in the BVB 18 since he was brought on to BVB in late January. Tuchel said about the Swedish forward that he has acclimated well to the team and is ready to play, however hasn't featured because of our depth at the foward. Specifically he said Auba, Schurrle and Dembele are all above him currently. Since Schurrle had shocker over the weekend maybe it would be good for Tuchel to at least give the back up striker spot to Isak instead against Lotte. We haven’t seen him train however so ultimately we don’t know as much as the manager.
