- Sven Bender is back
Sven "Manni" Bender is back in team training! Let's hope that he can stay healthy and compete for minutes in our defense. However it will be difficult for him to break into the squad right now becuase Marc Bartra is playing his best football of the season and Sokratis is as reliable as ever.
Raphael Guerreiro was able to complete the entire training session without any further problems, indicating that he will be ready for the game on Saturday against Hertha BSC Berlin.
- Europa League results
There was a German duel last night in the Champions League when Schalke hosted Gladbach. The game ended with a 1-1 draw which means that we're in for an exciting second leg. Schalke was the better team but couldn't convert their chances while Gladbach was clinical with their finishing. Both teams are Bundesliga heavy-weights but have struggled this season and if they want to play in the Champions League next season their best will be to win the Europa League.
Here are a few results:
Schalke 04 1-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach
Olympique Lyon 4-2 AS Roma
Olympiakos 1-1 Besiktas
Rostov 1-1 Manchester United
Former BVB-player Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the opener for ManU but they couldn't hang on to their lead against Rostov.
- Xabi Alonso announces retirement
Lived it. Loved it.

Farewell beautiful game. pic.twitter.com/1aSN7GGNzZ
Bayern Munich's Xabi Alonso has announced his retirement at the end of the season. The 35-year-old has won everything there is to win including a World Cup title, two European Championships, two Champions League titles and numerous national championships and cups.
It will be interesting to see how Bayern will replace him next season, with Renato Sanches and Joshua Kimmich they have two players that could do it but Sanches hasn't played that great since joining the Bavarians and Kimmich might be needed at right back to replace Philipp Lahm who is also retiring.
