  • Tuchel tried to get Miroslav Klose

In a recent interview with kicker Miroslav Klose revealed that Thomas Tuchel tried to convince him to a move to Dortmund in 2015. Klose, a legend in Germany and the all-time record goal-scorer of the World Cup with 16 goals in 4 tournaments, would have been an exciting addition to the squad. The likely plan was for him to back-up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but sadly Klose decided to stay in Italy, playing for Lazio. Klose justified his decision by saying that he did not want his family to move yet again during his long career.

Right now "Miro" is trying to start a new career as a coach. He's currently working for the DFB but he wants to be the headcoach of a Bundesliga team in the future. Who knows, maybe he'll end up in Dortmund someday.

  • U19 in the CL-playoffs

The U19-team will play a playoff game against Maccabi Haifa today. If they win they will qualify for the round of 16 of the youth-Champions League. It will not be a two game playoff with each team playing a game on home turf like we're used to in the CL but rather a one game playoff round. Hopefully coach Benjamin Hoffmann & Co. will be able to win in Israel to advence to the next round. Good luck!

  • Nuri is back!

Nuri Sahin is back in team-practice and this means that we have exactly 0 injured players for the first time this season! It will probably take a while before Nuri will be able to play a game but it's a start.

Correction: Sven Bender is still injured and will be missing a few more weeks. Sadly the "0 injured players" is not correct.
