Hah take that RedBull! Here are my ratings:
Manager:
Thomas Tuchel 8
He took RedBull seriously and fielded his best team. He let returning heartthrob Durm and teenage superstar Dembele take the lead in the attack and it paid off.
Also, extra points for that lighthearted jab at Hasenhüttl at the end of the match.
Starting XI:
Roman Bürki 9.5
He was really on fire in this match! He stopped us from conceding so many times.
Łukasz Piszczek 8
Having Pische in the backline means Bartra can focus on man-marking and defending, and doesn't have to play high and take part in the build-up.
Sokratis 9
<3
Marc Bartra 8
Marc is playing so much better this year. Having Papa next to him makes all the difference.
Marcel Schmelzer 7
Solid performance, barring a few mistakes.
Julian Weigl 7
Teams know how to isolate and choke Weigl now. TT needs to figure out a system where this doesn't happen.
Raphael Guerreiro 6.5
He's no Illy. At least not yet.
Erik Durm 9
OMGICANTBELIEVEHESBACK!!
If he hadn't started the build-up, Auba/Dembele's goal wouldn't have happened. He was responsible for feeding Dembele throughout the game, and he was definitely the best man for the job.
Ousmane Dembele 9.5
Dembele is definitely my MOTM! Incredible assist and almost-assist, and so active throughout the game. It's so amazing how far he's come in just six months!
Marco Reus 7
He didn't have the best luck, but he did work hard.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 6.5
Despite the goal, I'm not very impressed with him. He's having trouble finishing and focusing.
Substitutions:
Christian Pulisic 6
I'm always happy to see him on the pitch, but he's been a bit ineffective of late.
Matthias Ginter 6
That was a weird move by TT. Replacing an attacking midfielder by a defending midfielder when we're only one-nil up?
Felix Passlack 7
Reliable, as always.
