  • U19 lose against Barca

Our U19 had a bit of a rough game against the Blaugranas, losing 4-1. You can read all about it in Nayab's recap. To be fait though they had to play without two of their best players with Patrick Fritsch still out injured and Christian Pulisic being permanently with the first team.

  • Champions League results

Porto 0-2 Juventus

Sevilla 2-1 Leicester

Juve head home with a comfortable lead that they'll probably defend but it took them a while to build that lead. After Porto's leftback Alex Telles got sent off with two yellow cards within two minutes everybody thought it would be smooth sailing for the Italians but it took them 72 minutes and a joker-goal to profit from the one-man advantage. Just two minutes later they were able to score again and all but seal their place in the quarterfinals.

Sevilla has to feel very conflicted about that game yesterday. The Spaniards dominated the Premier League champions from the get-go and scored twice to get a comfortable 2-0 lead but out of nowhere Jamie Vardy pulled one back to make it 2-1. It's still a win for Sevilla but Leicester could turn this around at home, even though they were still a mess like they've been all season long.

  • There were also three Europa League games on Wednesday:

Gelsenkirchen 1-1 Saloniki

St. Etienne 0-1 Manchester United

Fenerbahce 1-1 Krasnodar

Our blue rivals did what they had to do to get through to the next round after they had won 3-0 in Greece. ManU won their game, and qualified for the next round, with a win in France. The lone goal of the night was scored by some Armenian player who's name is difficult to write so I won't try....

Today there are some more games like Fiorentina-Gladbach and AS Roma-Villarreal. The Fohlenelf will try to get through to the next round after losing 0-1 at home. Good luck to them.

Daily Buzz: Now that all of the first legs of the round of 16 in the Champions League are done, which team impressed you the most? Who's your (kinda early) favorite to win it all?
