That's it then, after a 4-1 defeat by FC Barcelona U19 in today's Round of 16 match for the UEFA Youth League, Borussia Dortmund U19 have finally exited the competition.
The U19's were captained by Felix Passlack, and contained veterans Dzenis Burnic and Jacob Bruun Larsen as well as new players like Jan-Niklas Beste and Etienne Amenyido.
The only Dortmund goal was scored by Dominik Wanner in the seventh minute, giving us an early lead. But FC Barcelona equalized before halftime, and then dominated the second half with three goals.
There's not much to say tactics-wise. The U19's were completely outclassed in this match.

This match marks the end of a very eventful UYL journey for our U19's. After a few disappointing matches, the U19's managed to make a late recovery in the group stage to finish second in the group behind Real Madrid U19. This meant we qualified for the playoff round against the Israeli team Maccabi Haifa, which we won 1-0 and qualified for the Round of 16.
Unfortunately the UYL has cost us dearly, with both Patrick Fristch and Dario Scuderi still recovering from injuries.
We're still very proud of our boys for making it this far. Well done boys!
