Dortmund's U19 will play against Barcelona on Wednesday in the UEFA Youth League. They'll try to beat Barca's U19 and advance to the quarterfinals and they will have Felix Passlack to help them. Passlack who is actually full-time with the first team since the beginning of the season is still eligible to play with the U19 and since Tuchel & Co. don't have a game until this Saturday against Freiburg, they decided to add Passlack to the squad.
- Tuchel-extension talks in the summer
During an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, Hans-Joachim Watzke said that Tuchel is "an exceptional coach" but that they'll wait with the negotiations for a new contract until the summer. In recent weeks there were some rumors about a possible rift between Watzke and Tuchel, but it is hard to imagine them parting ways if Tuchel actually gets this young and inexperienced team into the Champions League-places in the Bundesliga. If he doesn't...
- An incredible Champions League night
So I missed last night's CL-games.....just my luck I guess.
14 goals! 14!
That's just depressing. Here are the results:
Bayer Leverkusen 2-4 Atletico Madrid
Manchester City 5-3 Monaco
I can't see Leverkusen bouncing back from a 2-4 at home, especially against an Atletico team that is great at home. City vs. Monaco ended up being an 8-goal thriller where Pep's guys had to rally to come back from a 1-2 at halftime. City should be through to the next round but they have been so inconsistent this season that Monaco might be able to turn things around at home.
Today we'll see Porto take on Juventus and Sevilla against Leicester.
