So that was a rough weekend. The loss to Darmstadt was ugly in every way possible. It was representative of a season that has seen Dortmund stall in various matches against smaller clubs. The logical thing to do now is to forget that the match ever happened.
From this point on, we will never speak of it again.
What match?
On to the links...
Tuchel to Arsenal? Not so fast...
You may have seen this rumor around. Managerial uncertainty at Arsenal, combined with Tuchel’s struggles at Dortmund, has resulted in the two being linked together by various outlets.
But, as expected, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has come out and denied the rumors. The Express has the translated coach from our executive.
It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us. We're taking about completely fictional stuff here.
Some day in May we will sit down and analyse this season. He is still under contract here for another year.
That's why I don't understand all the speculation.
Good on Watzke for denying the rumor, but it was never really too believable.
We’re still in the middle of the season. I’m not sure Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has even decided whether he will return or not to the club. And if Tuchel is frustrated with his treatment in the German press, why would he want to go to England and deal with their tabloids?
It doesn’t make sense, so maybe we should just forget about this rumor as well.
