Dortmund Make History

It’s not often that your club can say you were the first in Europe to do something. But after the cup match between Dortmund and Hertha Berlin, both teams can claim to have made history.

The match was the first time that 30 players were used in a game in one of Europe’s main leagues. Both teams were allowed to bring four players on as substitutes, thanks to a new rule instituted this year by the German FA for the DFB Pokal.

It’s a rule that might just catch on. It seems like common sense, and this Pokal run could be the trial that the rest of Europe needs to get on board.

But really, I’m just happy went through in the tournament.

Possible Aubameyang Pricing

The transfer status of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will certainly be one of the biggest stories surrounding Borussia Dortmund this summer. Will he stay? Will he go? How much would he go for?

According to Goal.com, Dortmund will ask for €70 million for Auba. The article also mentions Real Madrid as the most likely to pay the fee.

But who really knows? I doubt Goal are scooping who Madrid want, months in advance of the next transfer window.
