- Well that was fast
According to Marca, Borussia Dortmund are prepared in case Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does leave the black and yellows in the summer. Athletic Bilbao-talent Inaki Williams is apparently the chosen one if PEA decides to take his talents elsewhere. The 22-year-old Spanish strikers is seen as one of the most talented players at his position in La Liga but he is still "just" a talented player and not a finished product and his stats confirm it, in 29 games in all competitions he has scored 4 goals and had 7 assists. Solid numbers but not exactly great for a guy that is apparently the successor of one of the best strikers in the world. In addition BVB would have to pay 50€ million for him to activate the release-clause in his contract which would be necessary considering that Bilbao is notorious for refusing to let players go for any other sum than their release-clause (just ask Bayern how "smooth" the Javi Martinez deal was).
As usual take this with a HUGE grain of salt. The rumor appears just one day after Auba's controversial comments and is coming from a source that has historically been very unreliable when it comes to Dortmund.
- RB Leipzig without their top-scorers
Leipzig might have to replace their two top-scorers in Saturday's clash against Dortmund. Emil Forsberg (5 goals, 9 assists) will definitely miss the game because of a 3-game ban that he got for a red card against Bayern in December. Furthermore Timo Werner (11 goals, 4 assists) is missing the team-practices because of the flu and it's likely that he'll be out for the game.
RBL still have a lot of talented players up front with Burke, Sabitzer, Poulsen and Selke but Werner and Forsberg were arguably their two best players during the first half of the season and it would be a big blow for them if they would be without both of them.
Daily Buzz: Inaki Williams as Auba's replacement? Who would you want to see in black and yellow if it would come to that? Realistic or outrageous it doesn't matter, I want to hear them all!
