  • Auba misses training

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had to miss BVB’s training session today because of back pain, instead the Gabon international trained individually. It’s not a serious injury and he’s expected to be back for next week’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid. The striker would have missed the Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen anyway because of the suspension following the red card he received in the derby against Schalke...yeah, let’s not mention that again.

  • Coaching position discussion

Peter Bosz is on the hot seat even though Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed during the members meeting that the Dutchmen will stay in charge for now. However this doesn’t keep the media from speculating about his job security and possible replacements.

Bild started the frenzy Ruhr Nachrichten and kicker followed, all of them stating basically the same thing. Bosz is a dead man walking at this point and any misstep gets him sacked, BVB meanwhile have their eyes set on either Julian Nagelsmann or Hannes Wolf, the problem with both of them is obviously that they won’t be available until next summer. In the meantime Nagelsmann stated he has “no contact” with other clubs right now, which doesn’t mean much since there was never a discussion about hiring him now.

This means they will need a “caretaker” until then and Armind Veh seems to be the choice. The 56-year-old has coached Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, HSV and Frankfurt with varied success. The highlight obviously being the championship he won with Stuttgart in 2007.

Daily Buzz: Soooo Armin Veh. Would he be a good choice going forward?
