  • New Aubameyang rumors

We all knew this was gonna (re)start at some point during this season. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was linked with several clubs all summer long but a move away from BVB never materialized, now the rumors have started again. According to The Mirror, the Gabon international has been offered to a number of clubs, one of them being Chelsea who are supposedly interested.

The striker is still reliable, scoring 17 goals in 19 games so far this season but several off-field issues have tarnished another stellar season for Aubameyang. A move during the winter break is certainly possible but seems unrealistic, Dortmund have enough problems as it stands without creating another hole at an important position. In addition, Auba has always stated that the Premier League doesn’t really interest him. We’ll have to wait and see.

  • The next Dembélé or Pulisic?

During the general assembly Hans-Joachim Watzke noted that they will continue looking for the next Dembélé or Pulisic and it seems they might have found him in Manchester.

Dortmund can’t keep up financially with the big-hitters across Europe, so they have to be smart and find the next stars before anyone even knows who they are. Over the years BVB have done a phenomenal job in that regard, finding diamonds in the rough like Lewandowski, Kagawa, Dembélé and Pulisic just to name a few. Last summer they set their sights on Premier League talents and found Jadon Sancho and now it seems they will raid another English team, Manchester United. According to the Daily Mail the black and yellows are looking to sign Angel Gomes, a 17-year-old midfielder. Gomes hasn’t signed a pro-contract yet and could be the second young player that leaves the Premier League for Borussia Dortmund.

Daily Buzz: Auba had his fair share of off-field “incidents” but he’s still scoring goals. Can BVB afford to let him leave?
