The hits just keep on coming.
You don’t need me to remind you what happened in Dortmund’s game this weekend, and now there may be ramifications from the match other than just a lost lead.
Mario Götze suffered partial tears in his ankle, and is expected to be out through the Bundesliga’s winter break.
Bad news everyone: Midfielder @MarioGoetze sustained partial ligament tears in his upper and lower ankle in the Bundesliga match against @s04_en on Saturday. It is estimated that the 25-year-old will be out of action for approximately six weeks. Get well soon, Mario! pic.twitter.com/pDN7p6h4us

Mario scored in the 4-4 draw, but was ultimately subbed off on 78 minutes.
BVB have six games before the winter break that Götze will surely miss. Four of those are in the Bundesliga, one is in the Champions League, and one is the DFB Pokal tie with Bayern Munich.
If all goes well in his recovery, Mario should be back when Dortmund kick-off the second half of the season on January 14th against Wolfsburg.
It stinks to see someone who has struggled to stay fit recently pick up another injury. All the best to Mario, and hopefully we’ll have him back available soon.
