The German teams embarrassed themselves once again, both Hertha BSC Berlin and TSG Hoffenheim lost their games and are eliminated from the Europa League. The last matchday will essentially be a glorified friendly for them.
1.FC Köln of all teams is the only one that still has a chance to get to the round of 32. The team that hasn’t won a game in the Bundesliga and is last in the table surprisingly won against Arsenal London 1-0. However they will have to get a result away to Red Star Belgrad if they want to continue their European adventure.
- Jacob Bruun Larsen injured
The 19-year-old midfielder picked up an injury in the Youth League game against Tottenham Hotspur. Larsen had to be subbed off in the 14th minute after a foul. Dortmund released a statement, confirming that he will be out until at least January with a knee injury without giving any specifics about the injury itself.
It’s disappointing to see such a talented player have so many injury-problems. Hopefully he’ll return and fulfill his potential.
Daily Buzz: Tomorrow is the Revierderby, and there is even more at stake with Peter Bosz’s job security in question. What are your predictions for the game?
