The less said about Dortmund the better. Nevertheless because of APOEL’s 0-6 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid, BVB is somehow still in the race for the third spot and even a loss in the last game in Madrid could see Dortmund qualifying if the Spurs win their last game at home.

RB Leipzig kept their chances alive with a 4-1 victory in Monaco but they will have to get a result on the last matchday against Besiktas. Meanwhile Liverpool gave away the win in Sevilla, the reds led 3-0 at halftime but Sevilla came back with a last minute equalizer that secured them a point. In group F Napoli kept their chances alive but they have to win their last game against Feyenoord and hope ManCity helps them against Shaktar.

  • UEFA punishes BVB

Borussia Dortmund has been punished for their fans use of pyro in the away game at APOEL Nicosia on October 17th. The black and yellows will have to pay 15.000€.

Dortmund are on the lookout for a new striker. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang isn’t exactly playing well lately and there are also his various off-field issues, Alexander Isak is still raw, and neither André Schürrle nor Maximilian Philipp are pure strikers.

That why BVB are reportedly looking to odd the next young talent to their squad, Lautaro Martinez. The 20-year-old is currently playing for Racing Club in Arentina’s Primera Division. He missed the start of the season because of a broken foot but he’s been good since he returned, scoring 2 goals and getting 1 assist in 3 games. According to Martinez’ father Dortmund representatives were in Argentina to scout his son and have “informal talks” with them about a transfer this winter. According to Ruhr Nachrichten the young striker has a 9€ million release clause which BVB could trigger in January.
