Things have been bad enough on the field for Borussia Dortmund lately, and now the issues off the pitch are stacking up as well.
The club announced today that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hasn’t traveled with the team to Stuttgart due to “disciplinary reasons.”

It’s unclear what these reasons are, but this isn’t the first time that Aubameyang has been effectively suspended from a match because of his conduct. Last year, Auba mysteriously missed a Champions League match against Sporting CP. Thomas Tuchel later hinted that his absence was a similar form of punishment.
Dortmund’s recent skid has seen them drop from 1st to 3rd in the Bundesliga table, and now they’ll have to face 12th place Stuttgart without their star striker.
Incidents like these are never a good thing, but this one could hurt even more as it comes while Peter Bosz’s side are in crisis.
But we know how Aubameyang is, so in all likelihood this punishment is fair. In the fast PEA and the club have been able to repair their relationship following disciplinary action...let’s hope they can do so once more.
