BVB draw Bayern in the DFB Cup

Borussia Dortmund will play against Bayern Munich in the round of 16 in the DFB Cup. The game will be played on December 19th in Munich.

Der Klassiker has been the deciding game in the competition in recent history. In the last decade BVB or Bayern have won it 7 out of 10 times with both teams meeting in the finals on 4 of those occasions. Last year Dortmund won the title against Eintracht Frankfurt (2:1) and on their way to the final the black and yellows defeated the Bavarians in an epic semi-final match (2:3) in Munich.

Dortmund will have a difficult time defending their title considering how the team played recently but the game is still a couple months away and as we all know a lot can change in football. We’ll get a preview of the game next Saturday when Dortmund will take on Bayern at home for the first Der Klassiker of the season.
