It took awhile but we finally have a win in October. With Magdeburg behind us, Dortmund continue their league campaign against newly promoted Hannover. Hannover are no stranger to the Bundesliga, having gone up and down a few times the past 10 years. This year they are punching up as they currently sit 6th on the table with 15 points.

Even if the team is feeling good again, Hannover will be no easy task. There are lots of injuries for BVB at the moment, Aubameyang, Toprak, Pulisic, and Weigl are all maybes for the game. That’s some very important talent. Aubameyang starts almost every game for BVB so we will see how we do against real opposition without him. Either Isak or Schurrle will most likely start up top without Auba. Schurrle is just coming off injury and did not look good as a striker last year.. Isak should be the top choice with Aubameyang out. Even thought it was against 3 tier Magdenburg, Isak looked to fit perfectly into the lineup. We are going to need that cohesion to beat a team as well drilled as Magdeburg.

On the wings hopefully will be Yarmolenko and Phillip. With Puli hurt there is no need to risk him even if he feels he can play. Central Kagawa ,Sahin and Dahoud should play. Gotze has not been feeling well so again he should not be risked. Even though Castro scored in his last game in only a few seconds of playing, lets all take a step back and admit he still isn’t good enough to play for us. Sahin and Dahoud should be able to make up for missing Weigl with enough play creation and possession.

For defense things may actually be looking up for BVB. Zagadou is finally being allowed to play as a CB and looks much more comfortable there. With Raph back we should be solid at the full back position with either Scmel or Toljan waking the other wing.

Please do not play Bartra at full back again Peter.

As for Hannover, they don’t play a very attacking style of football, however they do like to have possession. They have no super dangerous scorers on their team save for Martin Harnik who has 5 goals on the season. They are tied with us and Bayern for best defensive record with only 7 goals scored against them so far.

I say lets ruin that defensive record! What are your thoughts/predictions on the game?
