  • Aubameyang out

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will miss today’s game against 1.FC Magdeburg because of muscular problems. However he’s not expected to miss a significant period of time.

  • Golden Boy 2017

Christian Pulisic finishes 6th in the Golden Boy 2017 vote. The winner was Kylian Mbappé (PSG), finishing above Ousmane Dembélé (FC Barcelona) and Marcus Rashford (ManUtd).

The two remaining players ahead of Pulisic were Gabriel Jesus (ManCity) and Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan). Emre Mor finished in 8th place, meaning that 3 players that played for BVB last season finished in the top 10.

  • Weidenfeller set to retire

We always knew this was probably gonna happen and now Michael Zorc has confirmed it. Over the weekend Zorc told Sky “It is certain that this is Roman Weidenfeller’s last year so we will be looking for a new number two”.

Hopefully Weidenfeller can hang up his gloves with one last title at the end of the season to crown a great career. He will definitely get at least one last game in front of the yellow wall and possibly stay with the club in a coaching or management capacity afterwards.
