- Updates on BVB-players
It’s international break again and 14 Dortmund players are on international duty. One of them is Jadon Sancho who will participate with England’s U17 in the World Cup that will take place this October. Dortmund did not want to let Sancho go but the FA insisted on bringing him along. After a tug of war between the two sides they agreed to let Sancho go but he’ll only be with the team for the group stage matches. He will get back to Dortmund after that.
As far as injured players go, Raphael Guerreiro is back in training, at least individual training. The goal for the Portuguese left back is to get slowly up to speed during this international break and rejoin team training. It looks like Guerreiro will soon be back on the pitch unlike André Schürrle who had yet another set back and is back to individual training sessions. It is unclear when the winger will be back.
- Auba has no interest in Premier League-move
During an interview with Telefoot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said that he has no interest in a move to the Premier League and he’s happy to stay at Dortmund...for now. He adds that a move could be possible next summer.
Daily Buzz: BVB solidified their lead in the Bundesliga and moved points clear of Hoffenheim and Bayern. The Bavarians are in a bit of an odd situation, giving up 2-0 leads in two consecutive games and sacking Carlo Ancelotti. The recent results tempted interim-coach Willy Sagnol to say that “Bayern are no longer the strongest team in Germany”. An astonishing statement. Rumors have it that former BVB-coach Thomas Tuchel will take over now. Thoughts?
