Obviously we all knew this was coming especially after the transfer of Alexander Isak. Adrian Ramos is not a player of Borussia Dortmund anymore...kinda. Even though he reportedly had his medical and already participated in team training for the Spanish club Granada C.F. his transfer has not yet been officially announced. There might be some details to work through on this deal that will have Chinese club Chongqin Lifan buying the Colombian striker and then immediately loan him out to Granada until the end of the season. Anyhow, good luck to Adrian Ramos for his future endeavors.
- DFL announces video-referee
The DFL just made a huge step towards the future when they announced that starting with next season a video-referee will be added to every single Bundesliga-game as well as the relegation games and the Supercup. Since the beginning of this season this technology has been tested but not yet actively used. Those tests will continue all throughout the Rückrunde to prepare for next season.
The video-ref will be limited at first to only for possible situations where they can interfere: 1. Breaches of rules (foul, handball and offside) that lead to a goal, 2. Penalty-kicks, 3. Red cards, 4. If any card (red or yellow) is given to the wrong player.
In addition the video-referee can only interfere if he is 100% sure that the "real" ref made a mistake. If a situation arises where the decision is debatable then the one taken by the ref on the pitch will stand (similar to American football).
Daily Buzz: Is the video-ref a good idea?
