- Auba scores but Gabon disappoints again
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played his second game in the Africa Cup of Nations. Unfortunately the host nation was not able to win their game against Burkina Faso. PEA was able to equalize after Burkina Faso got the lead with his second goal of the tournament. Gabon is now in serious trouble after two disappointing games that ended in two draws with Cameroon looming on the horizon. Auba might be home quicker than we all expected.
- Dembélé blasts referees
Talking to SportBild Ousmane Dembélé criticized the refs for the treatment of Borussia Dortmund and how it affected BVB's season so far. The Frenchman said, “It annoys me that in the last five or six games, the opponents have looked to stop our flow with tactical fouls that go unpunished". This has been a theme throughout the first half of the season with Tuchel talking about this on several occasions. Dortmund has in fact been the most fouled team in the league with 302-fouls against them while they only committed 192-fouls themselves, second lowest in the league according to wahretabelle.de.
It's been a sad trend that led to many missed occasions for the black and yellows and even worse to many injuries on the BVB-side. Hopefully the refs will start to reverse that trend in the second half of the season.
- Celebrating a legend
The turban-clad captain who held the shield aloft turns 85! Happy Birthday, Willi Burgsmüller!! #Throwback https://t.co/lviqwVJqER pic.twitter.com/5TmnU3ysGd

Willi Burgmüller celebrated his 85th birthday yesterday. He is a BVB-icon that won three national Championships with Dortmund in the 50s and 60s. The article on the bvb-site does a wonderful job at describing his achievements, I recommend giving it a read.
