8 days until Dortmund are back in action. It’s still a bit of a wait, but tomorrow it will only be a week. That’s a lot more manageable.
Yesterday’s friendly with Standard Liege provided an appetizer for the upcoming season. BVB didn’t play great, but won 3-0. The highlight certainly being Raphael Guerreiro returning from injury to score a goal.
It’s good to have Raph back. And in a little over a week, it will be good to have Dortmund back.
On to the links:
According to Thomas Tuchel, Marcel Schmelzer will remain Dortmund’s captain.

Not a huge surprise, but there was a bit of talk in the media about Marco Reus possibly taking over the captaincy. His return to form after injury put a bit of doubt in people’s minds.
But Tuchel has reportedly spoken to both Reus and Schmelzer about it. Reus’ time will come someday, but for now BVB are happy to stick with Schmel as their leader.
