Dortmund management has confirmed that the Borussia Dortmund U19 coach Hannes Wolf is about to accept the manager position at VfB Stuttgart.

The 35 year old Hannes Wolf has been our U19 coach since 2015, and has been with the club since 2009. He won the league twice with the U17's (in 13/14 and 14/15), and once with the U19's (in 15/16). Hannes Wolf is the man responsible for developing talents like Felix Passlack and Christian Pulisic and getting them to the point where they were good enough to join the first team.

Wolf replaces former Stuttgart coach Jos Luhukay. German news outlets are reporting that he will direct his first training session tomorrow, and be officially presented in a press conference right after. He joins former Dortmund players Mitch Langerak and Kevin Großkreutz.

VfB Stuttgart currently plays in the second league, where they were relegated to after a few bad seasons. Hopefully Wolf will be able to resuscitate them and bring them back to former glory.

He will definitely be missed at Dortmund. He was one of our most successful youth coaches and touted as a Tuchel replacement. Hopefully that can still be the case, after a successful few seasons at Stuttgart.

Good luck Hannes! We will miss you!
