BVB has announced that fan favorite Jakub Blaszczykowski is officially moving to Wolfsburg. After joining the team in 2007 and playing through the whole Klopp era, Kubas time at BVB is over.

An great leader whose presence was always known on the pitch, Kuba will provide the leadership that Wolfsburg needs to succeed, as he did for us. In 252 appearances for the Black and Yellows, Kuba scored 37 goals, helping us win the league twice and make the UCL final.
Kuba is loved by most BVB fans and it will hurt to see him go for good this time. Even when it seemed his time at BVB was done when he was loaned out to Fiorentina, many hoped he would feature in the squad this year after a good Euros with Poland. Unfortunately for Kuba, our midfield is extremely deep so there would just be no playing time for him. It’s good that he’s going to a team that needs him more, I’d hate to see him languish on the bench all season.
Kuba’s career has been stellar so far, coming back from a terrible childhood tragedy to being Bundesliga champion two years in a row and representing his country at the highest level.
We’re gonna miss you Kuba.
