Summarizing This Week's Transfer Rumors (07/31/16)

Hi guys!

The transfer window is still open for a month. So despite our best hopes, the rumors haven't died off. But since WZT don't seem to want any new players, the focus seems to be on transfers out rather than transfers in. (But that doesn't mean the odd someone-to-Dortmund rumor doesn't pop in every now and then.)

So here's what I've got for you this week:

Transfers in:

Germany v Italy - Quarter Final: UEFA Euro 2016 Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images

Mario Gomez

Current club: Fiorentina

Position: Striker

Rumored price: 12 million Euros

Likelihood: Turkish newspapers, so probably not.

Do we need him: Not really. We don't need a second striker, especially not one who's 31.

Jean Michaël Seri

Current club: OGC Nice

Position: Central midfield

Rumored price: 5.5 million Euros

Likelihood: Unreliable looking French and German sources.

Do we need him: I like him, but probably not. We don't need to buy everyone.

Transfers out:

Ginter to Wolfsburg/Arsenal/Tottenham/Hamburg

The latest is from the Hamburger Morgenpost (fairly reliable for Hamburg news, it seems). Hamburg are really really interested.

Okay, interest registered - now f- off.

Kuba to Wolfsburg/Hertha/Liverpool/West Ham

This one is sadly a bit more likely. It seems TT doesn't think there's a place for Kuba on the team anymore (we are rather stacked in the midfield at the moment). However, it remains to be seen

That's all I have for you this week. See you next week!
