English media is reporting that the English club Middlesbrough FC has signed Neven Subotic.
Middlesbrough were promoted to the Premier League, after finishing second in the Championship last season. They are prepared to offer 8 million Euros for a three-year contract with Neven, which is the same price Borussia Dortmund payed for Marc Bartra from FC Barcelona. English news reports that the only thing stopping the deal from being completed is the acquisition of a work permit for Neven.

The 27 year old Serbian international joined Borussia Dortmund from Mainz in 2008 and was an integral part of Jürgen Klopp's amazing team. Mats Hummels and him were considered to be the dream center-back pairing. But long periods of injuries meant that he lost his place in the first team. And with Thomas Tuchel building a completely new team, the club felt that Neven should have the freedom to look for a new club so that he can get the first team minutes he deserves.
Neven is also known for his charity work, helping African children in need.
Good luck Neven! Have fun in England! And thank you for representing everything the club stood for while you were here. We will miss you!
