Dortmund players are just as obsessed with Pokémon Go as everybody else

I have a confession to make. Today I drove to McDonald's. Not to buy a burger, but to sit in the parking lot and battle at the Pokémon gym that is the art gallery next door. Pokémon Go makes us do these types of things, and it looks like some of our favorite footballers are playing now as well.

According to Marcel Schmelzer, everyone on the bus back from BVB's friendly against St. Pauli today was playing Pokemon Go. BVB had just beaten FC St. Pauli 3-2 in a friendly in Austria, but the players were quick to make the post-game transition from footballers to Pokemon trainers.

If you've been living under a rock for the past week, Pokemon Go has taken over the world and that rock might've actually been a Geodude. The free-to-play app was released in the US last week, but has only just come out in Europe.

Marcel looks a bit concerned in the photo, but there's no shame in having a desire to catch them all. Still, I'm worried for Dembele if he's battling Aubameyang as they sit next to each other. We know from his Instagram that Auba is a big Pokemon fan, let's hope he doesn't go too hard on our new signing. It would be interesting to see who would win in a footrace between them if they were chasing after a rare Pokemon.

Also, I would pay an infinite amount of money to see Tuchel's reaction when the players try to explain what they're playing to him.
