Borussia Dortmund are reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Portugese left-back Raphael Guerreiro. The Lorient defender will be the second Ligue 1 signing by Dortmund during the summer window.

French media outlet RMC Sport claims that the deal will be worth close to 12 million euros. Dortmund had to fend off interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona for Guerreiro, but look to have won the bidding war against three of the world's richest clubs.

The deal, which was initially thought to be completed prior to the start of Euro 2016, could possibly be made official by tomorrow as the tournament gets set to start in France. Guerreiro will be representing his nation of Portugal at the Euros.

The 22-year-old defender is versatile, garnering the ability to play at left midfield as well. He can also be used to take set pieces, and recently converted on a free-kick in an international friendly against Norway.

After Dortmund finally scored directly from a set piece in the final match of last season, the club's first free kick goal in over two seasons, a specialist like Guerreiro could make Dortmund even more dangerous offensively.

Following the loss of Dortmund's aging captain Mats Hummels to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, head coach Thomas Tuchel has now already added one defender, and looks to be closing in on another.

While nothing is official yet, it is extremely possible for a deal to be made as soon as tomorrow. Marc Bartra was signed on a Friday and both sides could be looking to get the deal done before the weekend and the start of the Euros.
