Punny, punny, punny, always sunny, in a pundit's world
People like to discuss who's been last year's MVP or who's been the player of the season. One thing is for sure, the most valuable player of 'Silly Season' for Dortmund definitely is Michael Zorc. So far, he has signed Mikel Merino, Marc Bartra, Ousmane Dembélé, and Sebastian Rode for the upcoming season. Now, he also secured the services of Emre Mor.
Reportedly, for an intiial fee of €7.5 million, Mor transfers to Dortmund to enter a five year contract. With all the crazy money thrown around on the market, this is a bargain and a solid investment into the future of BVB.
On the official BVB website Mor is quoted as saying: "BVB is a great club in Europe with unique fans. I am truly excited to meet my teammates and cannot wait for the start of the season, as well as to play my first game."
Spectacularly dubbed the 'Turkish Messi', Mor is yet another very promising youngster who has been tearing up the Alka Superligaen at Nordsjælland. The confused reader might now wonder whether the author of this piece has spontaneously succumbed to a stroke, but bear with me. We are in fact talking about a left-footed 18-year-old talent from the Danish top flight league.
So what, you might ask? Well, Mor has just been called up as part of the Turkish National Team going to the Euros. People like Arda Turan and Fatih Terim rate him as the most talented youngster to have made the Turkish squad for years. Mor is an offensive winger or false nine player, he's good in dribblings and one-on-ones and promises to compliment the already numerous new talent that Zorc brought in this transfer window. We are clearly gaining talented depth and seem to be getting back to the successful youth revolution days of 2009/2010.
So, dear readers of ye olde FearTheWall.com - what do you say? The Mor, the merrier? What Mor can you ask for in a talent? Can we close the gap to Buyern even Mor? A victory for Mor-ale? And do you want to know Mor?
God, someone please stop me. Halp!
