Summarizing This Week's Transfer Rumors (06/04/2016)

I'm back again with this week's fresh transfer rumors!

I don't think there are any center backs left in Europe who we aren't interested in. Anyway, here you go!

Sebastian Rode

Current club: Bayern Munich

Position: Defensive midfield

Rumored price: 10 - 15 million Euros (Although BILD did initially report 25 million)

Likelihood: Both Kicker and BILD are reporting it, and both seem fairly confident.

Do we need him: I'm not too keen on this one. He's a Bayern leftover, and he's more comfortable in Weigl's position than Gundogan's. He's too expensive to be a depth player behind Weigl and Sahin.

Ömer Toprak

Current club: Bayer Leverkusen

Position: Center back

Rumored price: 22 million Euros according to BILD. But a 12 million Euro release clause that activates next year.

Likelihood: BILD initially thought it was very likely. But according to Kicker, it doesn't look too likely anymore.

Do we need him: Eh. I definitely prefer newly acquired Marc Bartra or even Aleksandar Dragovic. He's also outrageously expensive.

Niklas Süle

Current club: TSG Hoffenheim

Position: Center back

Rumored price: 15 million Euros

Likelihood: Initial reports were from the local Hoffenheim paper (which is usually reliable for Hoffenheim-related news). But now Süle himself has made a statement saying he'll be staying at Hoffenheim.

Do we need him: He's 20 and pretty good. I would have preferred him to most of our other CB targets until Bartra. But oh well.

Kamil Glik

Current club: Torino FC

Position: Center back

Rumored price: 10 million Euros

Likelihood: BILD

Do we need him: The price is a bit steep, and he's already 28. I prefer the other prospects a bit more.

Shkodran Mustafi

Current club: Valencia CF

Position: Center back

Rumored price: 20 million Euros

Likelihood: Focus is reporting it - and they aren't very reliable.

Do we need him: I prefer him to Glik or Toprak, but I'd definitely take Dragovic or Bartra instead.

Timo Werner

Current club: VfB Stuttgart

Position: Striker

Rumored price: 8 (to 20) million Euros

Likelihood: SPORTBILD is reporting TT's interest, but they're also reporting interest from RB Leipzig which could drive up the price from 8 to 20 million Euros.

Do we need him: Yes please! He's only 20 and he's pretty good.

Apparently Liverpool interest has driven up the price.

Raphaël Guerreiro

According to BILD, Dortmund's initial bid of 10 million Euros + 2 million in bonuses has been rejected. Time for us to make a better offer.
