After months of waiting and anxiously looking at concepts and rumors, it is finally here!
Borussia Dortmund has revealed its away kit for the 2016/17 campaign, and it’s exactly the same as the concept reported a few days ago.
Das neue Auswärtstrikot. Ab 01.07. erhältlich! // Our new @pumafootball away shirt. Available tomorrow! https://t.co/yab2rUQTkQ
— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) June 30, 2016
The reveal featured captain Marco Reus modeling the new strip, which looks much sharper than last season’s black kit.
Dortmund has gona with an all-black look this season, choosing to ditch the yellow shorts. Black socks will accompany the kit made once again by Puma.
The jersey will feature horizontal yellow stripes, a contrast from last season’s vertical design. The stripes will alternate in thickness, with every other one being larger.
The design is similar to last season’s home kit only with the colors reversed. Evonik will remain as the shirt sponsor for the club with the exact same logo as before.
Finally, the crest is placed in the upper right of the jersey with two gold stars above. The wordmark logo "Dortmund" in traditional Puma font is on the bottom of the jersey’s rear. On the top of the back, the letters "BVB" in Puma font can be seen.
Let us know what you think of the new away kits in the comments.
