Mikel Merino Named Player of the Month

Everyone is having the time of their lives at the Euros with the Vikings promoted to the Quarterfinals, while title defenders Spain and the Motherland of Football - England - are both already on their way home after their defeats. But there is some BVB news as yesterday, silently, one of the last awards of the Spanish League this season has gone to one of our players.

Mikel Merino has been named Player of the Month of Spain's Liga Adelante, their second division. Due to his influence on the way Atletico Osasuna played in the last month and his quality performance during the playoffs for promotion for Primera División, including, but not limited to, two goals against Gimnàstic de Tarragona, the Spanish RFEF has voted to give the award to Mikel Merino.
