WATCH: Dortmund's Christian Pulisic Outmuscles Ecuador's Midfield

When I was seventeen, I failed to make the final cuts for my high school soccer team.

Christian Pulisic only came on in the 64th minute of the USMNT's friendly against Ecuador today, but he sure put his skills on display. People may doubt his physicality because of his short stature, but he showed how silly it is to underestimate him by manhandling some of Ecuador's midfielders.

This isn't the bit of skill you'd expect from a 17 year old in his second appearance for the US national team. Some nice touches or a nutmeg would be impressive itself, but successfully bossing off two Ecuadorian defenders and finding a teammate afterwards in outright insane.

The United States defeated Ecuador through a late Darlington Nagbe goal in preparation for the Copa America that starts on June 3rd. Pulisic's inclusion in the 23 man squad is quite a feat for the 17 year old, but he figures to be on the verge of even more stardom once the actual tournament rolls around.
