Fear The Wall Is Looking For New Writers

Schalke fans need not apply

The BVB season may be coming to a close, but that does not mean Fear The Wall is. We've been up for 5 months now and have grown quite a bit. However, having only 7 writers is a skeleton crew compared to most of the other SB Nation soccer blogs. To continue growing, we'd like to bring on some new writers.

What We're Looking For

  • BVB fans....duh; If Bundesliga fans, we might have a think about it.
  • Somebody who has mastered the art of writing in English; given we are an English language blog, English is a requirement, sorry.
  • Somebody who has time to contribute consistently and is able to communicate with their peers. FTW has a lot of plans for the summer and the following season, and things can get a little hectic in a short amount of time.
  • Somebody who can watch most BVB games during the season. Watching is helpful, but to critically analyze what you see would be perfect.
  • Not Mats Hummels.

What We'd Need You To Do

  • Breaking News. There is plenty of things happening on non-game days — injuries, contract stuff, interesting interviews, etc. etc. It's tough to get to it in a timely manner all the time with the amount of the writers we have at the moment.
  • Match Recaps. Next season marks our return into the league of champions, Champions League, and therefore we are going to need a lot of help, throughout the week and on weekends.
  • Transfer Rumors. Apparently, 'tis the season that BVB is connected to every football player under the age of 25, for whatever reason. Not complaining, just food for thought.
  • Pretty much anything else having to do with the Black and Yellows.

What Else Do I Need To Know?

  • In case you didn't know, blogging doesn't pay the bills. We can't pay our writers much more then beer money, if we can get them any money at all.
  • BUT I'm not going to sit here and tell you we're "paying you in exposure". If you're a journalist looking for exposure there is some here, but it isn't gonna get you a Pulitzer and shouldn't be the primary reason you want to write for FTW. We're building something cool and unique here and we want BVB fans who want to become apart of it.
  • No hurt feelings if we don't bring on everyone who fills out the form. If you really want to write about BVB and get your voice out there there is always fan posts and we'll be bringing people on as things move along, especially if they're a unique and positive influence in the BVB/FTW community.
